Can't Wait to Retire
What ever happened to "Hard work pays off?" It doesn't seem to be true anymore. Was it ever true? When will my hard work pay off?

Grandpa Ted
Friendship: Abundant? Elusive? Strong? Fragile?
I have found many different types of friendships throughout my life, but I've found that the best friendships, for me, are the most unusual. I just got off the phone with one of my BEST friends. We had a great conversation. Both of us are interested in what each of us has to say. We feel like we can tell each other anything. Sound familiar? Not unsual yet... I know. Here's the kicker... I'm a 30 year old woman, and he's a 70 year old man! Other than complaining about his hip now and again, he doesn't act like he's 70. A year and a half ago, I met my (now) husband. I was afraid that he wouldn't understand our unusual friendship, but I have been blessed. To my great joy, the three of us are able to go out to dinner together, and the friendship has just gotten stronger with the addition of my husband. To all those weird and unusual friendships out there -- keep it up -- don't let your Grandpa Ted get forgotten!
